GEMS

Who: Girls aged 8 through 14 Where: Fellowship Hall and several rooms in the church When: Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m Season: September through June

The name GEMS stands for Girls Everywhere Meeting the Saviour. The purpose of the GEMS club is to bring girls into a living, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. GEMS Girls' Clubs is a relationship-building, club program created for girls.

To foster an all-important relationship between each girl and Christ, additional relationships are nurtured as well ­ between the girl and her counselor (leader) and the girl and other club members. All of these relationships are effectively established and strengthened in clubs through the use of caring, supportive, and fun small groups.

Games, crafts, singing, learning important life skills through badge work, discussing Bible stories and learning how to apply these teachings to life are all a part of the GEMS experience. We provide a fun and relational environment that helps girls find answers to today’s challenges through:

• Team Building
• Singing and creative movement
• Developing important life skills through merit badge activities
• Participating in service projects that make a difference in the lives of others
• Annual campout
